unbelievable. but if that was the whole game, then how the other player spend five minutes that game (it seemed much shorter than that, even with the pauses)
Nakamura’s opponent clearly didn’t use up all the time he had on his clock. His strategey was, apparently, to move as quickly as he could, in order to force Nakamura to use up his 10 seconds… that’s probably why he assumed a defensive position and started shuffling his queen back and forth instead of attempting anything aggressive himself. He was hoping Nakamura would just run out of time.
oh, ok, i misinterpreted what you wrote. i’m suprised svenderlunk missed the f4 block, but i don’t see how he would be at an advantage by playing f4, or even gain material for that matter, only that nakamura would have to waste more time taking more moves
